Responsibilities

​

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to pediatric patients within a school-based environment.

• Conduct assessments to determine occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and progress monitoring.

• Implement therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions to improve mobility, strength, and functional abilities.

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.

• Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals.

• Stay updated on best practices and advancements in pediatric occupational therapy through professional development activities.

Qualifications

​

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Occupational Therapist in the state of Ohio.

• Experience in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in a school-based or pediatric setting.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations related to therapy services in schools (preferred).

• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet the needs of diverse pediatric patients.
